Bill and Victoria Strong created Unite For The Cure in August 2009 to motivate 20 families impacted by SMA to unite together to collectively raise $100,000 for a promising stem cell program at UC Irvine led by Dr. Hans Keirstead that has the real potential to cure SMA. The funding that these inspiring families are raising through Unite For The Cure will be used to help get the program to human clinical trials and accelerate the program.
